Casey Jones Plumbing opened it doors in 1979 in Dallas, TX. Owner Roger Jones opened it with his father Casey Jones, who got his name from the famous American railroader. On April 30, 1900, he was killed when his passenger train, the Cannonball Express, collided with a stalled freight train at Vaughan, Mississippi, on a foggy and rainy night. His dramatic death while trying to stop his train and save lives made him a hero; he was immortalized in a popular ballad sung by his friend Wallace Saunders, an engine wiper.
In 1983, after starting his family, Roger sold the business and made the move to Nacogdoches for a more family friendly town. And the rest is history.
